What is the difference between online and offline dictionaries?
• Offline dictionaries do not need an internent connection, online dictionaries do. Babylon dictionaries work online and offline, The online only services are the “Smart Dictionaries”, “Text Translation” and “Wikipedia dictionaries”. In order to work offline, you must download and install the needed dictionaries/glossaries. All Babylon glossaries are located at: here All free Public glossaries are located at: here In order to check the status (online or offline) of existing glossaries, click on My Dictionaries link in your side bar. The My Dictionaries tab will open, and you will see that it is divided into two categories: Installed Dictionaries on top, in which all downloaded dictionaries and glossaries will appear, and Online Dictionaries (Require Internet Connection) in which all online dictionaries and glossaries will appear.
