Hi Offset printing is printing from a set of negatives (4 films needed for color and only 1 needed for black /white/grey) and then, burnt onto plates and printed all four at the same time. Colors are layered to form one image. Nowadays, the technology is DTP which means Direct-to-Plate and no more films needed. Use insert the image and the computer outputs directly to the printer which saves cost, is more efficient, and faster. Digital printing do not need plates and all colors are printed simultaneously (not layered like offset) to produce a photo. Digital is less warm in colors than offset.
