What is the difference between oak and walnut floors?
Both oak and walnut wood species are extremely popular for worktops and flooring. Both are considered best value for money woods, however walnut flooring is regarded as slightly stronger. There is also a slight difference in grain markings, as oak tends to have tight grain whilst walnut tends to have open grain markings.
