What is the difference between Nihilism and Skepticism ?

0

There are different kinds of skepticism and to some extent different kinds of nihilism. But generally speaking, a skeptic would say that you can’t be certain of a truth (or perhaps all truths, depending on the skeptic). You can’t know it. A nihilist, would agree that you can’t know that truth, but probably for a different reason… he would say it was because truth does not exist. So nihilism implies a kind of skepticism, but skepticism does not imply nihilism. It’s the subtle difference between ‘there is no truth’ and ‘you can’t know the truth’.
