What is the difference between New Student Orientation/Parent Registration and University Orientation?
New Student Registration/Parent Orientation is a one-day session designed to enable new students to be advised and register for classes. Parents have an opportunity to learn about University resources, how the University operates, and to develop relationships with faculty and staff. Attendance is required for students but optional for parents. However it is recommended that parents attend. University Orientation is a series of activities designed to help students adjust to academic life at Alcorn State University. The activities are carried out over several days immediately before classes begin in the fall.
