What is the difference between naturopathic and homeopathic medicine?
First of all, homeopaths use only homeopathy as a treatment tool, whereas Naturopathic Doctors can use homeopathy as one of several therapies in your health program. Another difference is that homeopaths are not regulated and licensed in Ontario. This means that anyone can call themselves a homeopath regardless of training, whereas only those who have followed the training and licensing steps outlined above can call themselves Naturopathic Doctors. Also, most health insurance plans cover visits to Naturopathic Doctors but not to homeopaths.
