What is the difference between my current and available balance?
Your current balance is the balance reflecting the transactions that have posted as of the previous business day. Available balance is the current balance plus or minus any on-line credits and debits that will post to your account tonight (things such as ATM deposits, Online Banking transfers, ATM withdrawals, or the use of your VISA® CheckCard for purchases).
Your current balance is the balance reflecting the transactions that have posted as of the previous business day. Available balance is the current balance plus or minus any on-line credits and debits that will post to your account tonight (things such as ACH deposits, VRU and Web banking transfers, ATM withdrawals or online (using your PIN) Pocket Check® purchases).
Your current balance is the balance in your account as of close of business the previous business day. Your available balance is the current balance, minus or plus, any electronic transactions that may occur that day or in the near future. Therefore, the two amounts may be different from day to day. Electronic transactions include ATM deposits and withdrawals, Visa Check Card transactions, wires, direct deposits, or automatic withdrawals you have set up. As stated previously, pending electronic transactions are reflected in your available balance (the amount available for withdrawal) immediately. When nightly processing is completed, electronic transactions are processed, and posted to your current balance. The only exception to this is Visa Check Card authorizations, which can remain as “Pending” on your account for up to three to five business days before posting to the current balance o
