What is the difference between MS Office Home and Student version and the egular version?
The Home and Student version doesn’t include MS Access, along with other smaller apps. You can read more general information here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Office Access is the Office database program (Excel is the spreadsheet program) in Office. That said, I strongly recommend that you not buy Office at all. It’s way overpriced and unnecessary. You can download Open Office for free; it’s extremely compatible with Office documents, and its functions are virtually identical. I recently installed it, and although I’ve never used it before and haven’t had any training with it, I can use the “Calc” program exactly as if it were Excel, and “Writer” works exactly like Word. I haven’t used Base quite as much, but it seems to be virtually identical to Access. http://www.openoffice.org/ It’s self-updating, open source, frequently updated, free, stable,
