What is the difference between Montessori and a rational child care or a traditional school?
We approach children in totally different ways. At this Montessori school we believe in independence vs. dependence. We have the respect to believe that the child teachers themselves through specially designed materials rather than regurgitation form an adult. The materials are designed to have a control of error that is easily seen and has nothing to do with adult approval. The shelves are designed for the childs goal set and we do not look at children in a way of judging what they are capable of based on age or our decision about their ability.
