What is the difference between moles and molarity?

0

My Little Pony is correct in the definitions, but molarity is given as moles/liter, not moles/any other volume although moles per any volume can ultimately be converted to molarity. Examples would be molar mass = 100 and you have 90 grams you would have 90/100 moles or 0.9 moles. Or if the molar mass is 100 and you have 200 grams, you would have 200/100 = 2 moles. Now, for molarity, if you have 2 moles and put it into 1 liter, you have a solution with a molarity of 2 (written 2 M). If you put 2 moles in 0.5 liters, then you have 2/0.5 = 4 moles per liter or 4 M.
