I am considering a holiday in Miami but understand that the 2 places are actually quite different? I would like to stay where all the exciting bars, nightlife, restaurants, great shops and beaches etc are? (I’m guessing Miami Beach!). Which is the best area to stay in Miami / Miami Beach? (We are in our late 20s). Many thanks 🙂 Miami Beach isn’t just the beach – DUH. It’s a distinct municipality, making it a separate city. A: Think of NY and Manhattan. Miami Beach is like the Manhattan but divided. The upper half you only visit when you are at retirement age and the lower half is where the fun is. It’s called South Beach – lots of clubs and party places. excellent beaches all over!
