What is the difference between metabolic process & physiological process?
It would be difficult to provide an exact distinction between the two but : a metabolic process is one which involves catabolic, anabolic reactions e.g oxidation, reduction, conjugation in the liver. a physiological process is one which involves conformational changes, receptor activations, reactions involving ATP for example opening of ion channels, recruitment of transcription factors and gene expression and so on..
