What is the difference between mainstream/progressive/hardcore/authentic?
Mainstream: This means that we are primarily involved in events that often have broader standards for participation. Progressive: This means that we are constantly seeking to improve our impressions and uniforms to depict the actual soldier. We take fewer shortcuts and work harder on our understanding of actual history. Hardcore: This word has really come to mean several things. We consider it to mean men and events that utilize the strictest standards for portraying people of the era. They wear only the most authentic documented clothing, live in as close to the same manner as the real soldiers whenever possible, and participate only in events that promote these standards and conduct. Authentic: The real thing, and something that no one today can ever become without a time machine. Some people use the word to describe the hardcore philosophy without some of the negative connotations that have been linked to the word hardcore. • Are you going to become a hardcore unit?
