What is the difference between life coaching and traditional therapy or counselling?
The key differences between coaching and traditional therapy or counselling is orientation: in therapy and counselling the focus is on helping clients deal with their personal issues in the present moment; whereas in life coaching the focus is to find out what you would be aiming for your future by using a series of cognitive approaches. I have an extensive background working as a counsellor and a wealth of knowledge about human nature and behaviour, from which I can draw as a life coach. Most of my work is based on MiCBT (see here for more info on Mindfulness integrated Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) Please rate this entry.
