What is the difference between Lean GB & the standard DMAIC GB class Motorola University offers?
A. Lean GB is similar to DMAIC GB except that we integrate appropriate lean tools in the DMAIC structure. Each step has the traditional six sigma tools PLUS lean tools. LGB is about 40% lean / 60% traditional 6S. We cover the same BREADTH of traditional 6S tools as GB but with a little less DEPTH, allowing us to incorporate high-impact tools from Lean such as VSM, 5S, Kaizen, etc. at appropriate points in the DMAIC process.
