What is the difference between LCD and plasma Televisions?
LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display. LCD TVs are like computer monitors and produce images using millions of tiny crystals that close and open allowing or blocking light. LCDs are usually cooler and take less energy to use. Plasma displays use millions of tiny gas chambers sandwiched between layers of glass to produce images. Each chamber is coated with phosphors that emit light according to the charge applied.
