What is the difference between LADAC and Certified Prevention?
LADAC is a license given by the state that allows the person holding the license to provide treatment to people with alcohol and drug problems. You must have at least an AA in Human Services to take the test for LADAC. All of the courses can be used to get your AA. Certified Prevention Specialists work with communities to prevent not only addiction, but problems with poverty, teenage pregnancy, and assisting in creating strong communities. They are not therapists.
