What is the difference between Karate, Kung-fu and Taekwondo?
All three are martial arts from Asia. Karate was developed in Japan, while Kung-fu developed in China. Taekwondo is from Korea. Taekwondo is sometimes called “Korean Karate.” While each martial art has it unique characteristics, in many ways they are very similar. Each art has blocks, punches, and kicking techniques. Each can be used for self-defense or sport. Most authorities agree that the instructor is more important than the specific style. Back to Questions How often do you attend class? Most students attend class 2-3 times per week. Classes are offered 5 days a week and you are free to choose the days that work best for you.
