What is the difference between jujitsu and bjj..?

0

Well basically, BJJ is far more ground grappling orientated and is a competitive sport whereas traditional Jujitsu focuses on strikes, throws, locks and to an extent ground fighting. Which would be better in a street fight is very difficult to answer but BJJ is more competitive so it will make you ready for what it’s like to fight against somebody who wants to hurt you. However traditional Jujitsu includes defence against knives and other weapons as well as teaching you to fight dirty using eye gouges, pressure points and spinal locks. So an expert in either is going to be pretty capable in a street fight.
