What is the difference between Judo and Tai Kwon Do or another form of Karate?
Well, Judo is not a form of Karate. Karate (which is the Japanese word for “open hand”) involves punching and kicking. Karate is normally taught as a self-defense, while Judo is taught as a sport. Instead of punching, kicking and breaking boards, in Judo you learn to throw people, pin them, and force them to submit via grappling submission techniques.
