I understand the question. I’ve heard of many modern freedom fighters that have been labeled terrorists. For example the Kurds who are the world’s largest ethnic group without a homeland are fighting for independance and have been labelled terrorists. Along with Chekna in Russia and many other groups many people will never get there independance because of anti-terrorist feelings. If you want a better story of things like this watch the movie Syriana with George Clooney. As for Iraq many are religious extreamists who are killing innocent people. So no they are not freedom fighters. Other times in history there have been things like the Oklahoma bombings and 9-11 that were the actions of the insane. Still have an open mind because people who fought in the American revolution would be considered terrorists today.
