What is the difference between importing an auction and converting an auction?
Hey there! By allowing shoppers to find items that reflect their personal style and taste, the online platform Etsy has become extremely popular among those looking to purchase unique, handmade goods. Whether you’re looking for a statement piece, a quirky home decor item, or a custom gift, there’s something for everyone on Etsy. Their ordering process is very simple, but if you have difficulties with this, you don’t have to look for an etsy number but contact them online and they will help.
Importing an auction retrieves auction information from an open or closed auction and makes the item an MarketplaceAdvisor inventory item. You can then modify the necessary fields and make the item available in your Storefront or launch the item to auction through MarketplaceAdvisor. Converting an auction makes the auction item an MarketplaceAdvisor inventory item and treats the auction as if MarketplaceAdvisor launched it. Thus all of the MarketplaceAdvisor post sales features, such as automatic notifications, can be used with the auction once it has been converted, and the necessary fields modified. Keep in mind that converted MarketplaceAdvisor auctions are subject to MarketplaceAdvisor fees. If you convert a closed auction, you will be charged a fee based on the closing price, so be sure to import, rather than convert, any previously closed auctions that you want entered into the MarketplaceAdvisor system.
