What is the difference between illegal immigrants and asylum seekers?
Asylum seekers come to the UK and submit an application to live here. In the meantime they get benefits and aren’t supposed to work. Illegal immigrants come to the UK and just do what they want without telling anyone. Sometimes illegal immigrants might be asylum seekers who have broken the terms of their stay or whose application was rejected but who are staying without permission.
