What is the difference between IADC and other organisations such as WODA?
The International Association of Dredging Companies is the trade association for international private dredging and maritime construction contractors. As such, it represents the interests of private dredging contractors at an international level. Other trade associations for dredging contractors operate at a national or at a regional level e.g. the European Dredging Association EuDA. WODA – the World Organisation of Dredging Associations – is a non-profit professional organisation open to all professionals related to the dredging industry whether from governments, consultant firms, dredging contractors, educational and research institutions. WODA has three regional branches: CEDA for the Europe-Africa region, EADA for the Asian-Pacific region and WEDA for the America’s. Whenever interests are shared, IADC seeks co-operation with other organisations such as WODA to develop joint activities.
