What is the difference between hypnotherapy and past life therapy?
They are essentially the same. Clinical hypnotherapy differs from past life therapy in the sense that it does not necessarily acknowledge the spiritual aspect and existence of past lives. This is however, slowly changing, as many pyschiatrist and hypnotherapists are coming out to report their experiences with past lives experienced by their clients. One notable example is Dr Brian Weiss, a yale-trained medical psychiatrist who have wrote best-selling books on past life therapy and use it extensively on his patients with excellent results. Another important example is Dr Ian Stevenson, the world’s leading scientific researcher on reincarnation, who has documented thousands of cases and written numerous books on the subject. Often, problems are past life related and this makes past life therapy much more effective than clinical hypnotherapy that does not associate with past lifes or spirituality.
