what is the difference between hotrod and streetrod?

0

The difference between a street rod and a hotrod is fairly subjective, but it is generally accepted that a streerod usually maintains the original body lines and look of the manufacture’s original theme, but has changes made to the suspension, drive train etc. to give the car more power, a better stance, including changes to wheels and tires. Everything else remain fairly stock. Hotrods are usually highly modified from the original look including all of the above changes and radical changes to the body lines .. such as the removal of fenders in some cases or changing and including parts from multible vehicles to end up with a totaly different look from the original body lines and unique to the individual who built it. Radical paint jobs are also part of this re-birth, but paint can also play a role in street rods as well.
