What is the difference between Hot-water Extraction (Steam Cleaning) and Dry cleaning (Bonnet cleaning)?
Hot water extraction or steam cleaning – This is a fancy way of saying, a hot water cleaning solution is applied under high pressure and is forced into the carpet and then sucked out of the carpet. This method is referred to steam cleaning although steam is not used. Dry Cleaning or Bonnet Cleaning – This method involves the application of a cleaning solution onto the carpet, which is then agitated onto the surface of the carpet by a specially designed pad in a rotary motion. There is less moisture involved in this process, therefore making the carpet dry with in 1 hour.
