What is the difference between High Speed Internet – DSL and Cable modem Internet connections?
DSL is a dedicated always-on connection to your local telephone exchange/office. Cable modem connections are a shared connection (with everyone on your street who has Cable modem internet service). Speed of the Internet connection fluctuates depending upon how many people are using their Cable modem connection. Since DSL is a dedicated connection, your speed isn’t affected by other DSL connections.
