What is the difference between high pressure aerosol nasal sprays and nasal washes?
The key to nasal rinsing is volume. The volume of a nasal wash, will push the solution up through one nostril, continue up over the septum and flow out through the other nostril, removing irritants from the nose. Volume is not an attribute of aerosol sprays. Their key aspect is their moisturizing power, not their cleansing power, as they won’t wash away the extra mucus, mold and allergens found in the nose.
