What is the difference between Headmount and Sidemount beds?

0

Headmount beds are also referred to as “Vertical” where the head of the bedframe is fixed to the wall. Sidemount beds or “horizontal” beds are ideal where ceiling height is restricted as the side of the bed is attached to the wall, resulting in a lower cabinet. A consideration with a sidemount bed is that the bed is only accessible from one side. Options for the headmount beds is to have additional cabinetry to the sides, whereas with sidemount, extra storage can be added above, where height allows.
