What is the difference between HDTV SDTV?
SDTV (Standard Definition Television) is the current standard TV resolution which has been broadcast since 1963. SDTV’s frame size is equivalent to a still picture at a resolution of 720×480. A well exposed SD frame can produce a marginally acceptable 4×6 photograph. In contrast HDTV’s frame size is equivalent to 1920×1080. A well exposed HD frame can produce exceptional 8×10 photographs. While not a substitute for fine photography, our motion picture cameras will produce 400,000+ 1920×1080 images for a typical event.
