What is the difference between hardwood, softwood and manufactured boards?
Hardwood and softwood are both natural woods. Generally speaking, evergreens like pine, cedar, and spruce are softwoods, and deciduous trees like oak, cherry, and walnut are hardwoods. The actual hardness of the wood does not define whether it is hard or soft; rather it has to do with how the tree reproduces. Manufactured boards are made from synthetic or artificial materials.
