What is the difference between Hand Harvested lake rice and Cultivated rice?

0

Our Hand Harvested rice is truly wild growing in the lakes and rivers of Northern Minnesota and is hand harvested, usually in canoes. The quantity of true Wild Rice may be limited each year due to weather and lake levels and, because it is hand harvested and wood parched, it is more costly to produce. Our Cultivated rice is planted in a pond or paddy as a crop and is usually harvested by machine before being hand selected for quality. Cultivated rice is usually more plentiful and therefore less costly.
