• Haas ECSM does not provide any type of home Internet Access. IS&T (Information System & Technology), a central campus department, provides paid Dial-Up Internet Access to all UCB students, faculty and staff. This Internet Access is commonly referred to as HIPS ($24 per year) and SHIPS ($12 per month). Click here to sign up for HIPS or SHIPS. • Haas ECSM has been supporting Remote Access since Fall 2000. Remote Access allows you to access Haas Network Drives through your current Internet Service Provider and the UC Berkeley Cisco Virtual Private Network. You need both an Internet Service Provider and the UCB VPN in order to do Remote Access. Remote Access and Internet Access are not the same thing.
