H2B visa is a document, which allows you to enter USA. H2B status is given to you by immigration official at the border. On your I-94 you can see a stamp where it says Class H2B and until Date. That date maybe the same as the date in your visa or it maybe different. But in any case you should always follow the date on your I-94, not the date on your visa.
