The CIHR Team grant will be one of 3 new regular programs to support teams. The Research Resource and the New Emerging Team grant programs will eventually be part of CIHR regular suite of programs. This year is the last one for the Groups competition which was open only to existing Groups that were up for renewal. The CIHR Team grants will support experienced teams of talented and experienced researchers. CIHR Team grants will be evaluated as a single, integrated entity. The New Emerging Team grant will enable new and emerging team to build capacity and expertise. The Research Resource grants will support research-enabling activities used by teams or consortia of productive researchers such as provision of equipment and specialized services, acquisition of shared research resource and networking.
