What is the difference between gross and taxable wages?

0

Both gross and taxable wages are reportable on Form UC-2, Employer’s Report for Unemployment Compensation. Gross wages are the total amount of wages paid to an employee. This includes salaries, wages, commission, bonuses, overtime pay, incentive awards and tips; basically, all remuneration defined as wages in the PA UC Law. Taxable wages are the first $8000 in wages paid to each employee each calendar year.
