What is the difference between gram positive bacteria cell wall and gram negative bacteria cell wall?
gram + have a plasma membrane that is surrounded by a cell wall that is made up of a thick layer ofpeptidoglycan (which is made up of polysaccarrides chains). This also applies to gram – but the amount of peptidoglycan is much less. another important difference is that gram – have a outer membrane surrounding the layer of peptidoglycan.
