T.E.D. or anti-embolism hose are for those persons that are non-ambulatory. The T.E.D. hose help to prevent blood from pooling in the veins in the leg. Pooling of blood in the veins of the leg may contribute to blood clots forming in the veins. T.E.D. hose come in only 5 sizes which means they are not custom fit.
