What is the difference between goji berries?
Most produce is grading into different qualities and goji berries are no exception. There are four grades of berries which are sold as goji berries. These grades are “super”, “king”, “special” and “grade A”. There is a significant difference in price and quality between the grades. “Super” grade berries are around 40% more expensive than “grade A”. The “super” berries are larger in size, with more flesh, less seed and more polysaccharides than any other type of goji berry. These superior berries come from the longest established bushes and vines. Absolute Red only uses “super” grade berries in all of it’s products. To be classified as “super” there has to be approximately 220-240 berries per 50 grams. This compares with the “grade A” where there is approximately 480 berries per 50 grams.
