What is the difference between glass and pyrex?
Pyrex is a brand name owned by Corning for a type of glass called borosilicate. Borosilicate is a specially manufactured type of glass that is much more heat and shatter resistant than regular glass. It’s the same stuff that is used to make the pytex cookware that you use in your oven. The result is a highly durable form of glass that has made glass sex toys possible which would not have been safe with regular glass.
