Students are encouraged to meet with an academic advisor during the general advising and registration period. Starting early gives you the best chance to register for the classes you need on the days and times that best work with your schedule and availability. You will have more time to meet with an academic advisor one on one to discuss choices from courses appropriate to your skill level and goals. During late advising and registration, most classes are already closed. You may not be able to register for the classes you need or at the days and times that fit your schedule and availability. Students who come to campus during late registration wait in long lines to meet with an advisor and have to pay for classes the same day.
