What is the difference between full-time and part-time studies?
The requirements for part-time studies are covered under the School of Graduate Studies general regulations, which can be found online on the school’s website. For the M.A.: Part-time students are required to fulfill a one academic term residency requirement. Part-time students may register in no more than one half course in each of the Fall and Winter Terms. No student may register in more than two half courses in the Summer Term. All students are expected to complete the degree within five years of initial registration. For the Ph.D.: Part-time students are required to fulfill a two academic term residency. Part-time students may register in no more than one half course in each of the Fall and Winter Terms. No student may register in more than two half courses in the Summer Term. Part-time students are expected to complete the degree within seven years of initial registration.
