French wires are the standard wires that simply go through the ear and do not lock in the back. They come in many different metals and styles. See samples below: Euro wires go through the ear and lock in the back. See instructions below: INSTRUCTIONS STEP 1 Side view of unopened Euro wire. STEP 2 Hold the front part of the Euro wire then pull down on the lever in the back to open. STEP 3 Hold the hook end of the Euro wire straight, then pull through your ear as shown. DO NOT angle it down until it is all the way through your ear. See step 4. STEP 4 Once the end of the hooked part is through your ear, turn the wire down getting ready to clasp it shut. STEP 5 Close the lever back over the hooked part of the wire. The Euro wire is now locked and you are ready to go. STEP 6 Euro wires gently secure your earrings on your ears. They come in many different metals and styles.
