What is the difference between Freestyle and Freeride Skis?
Unlike normal skis, Freestyle skis have a twin tip shape, in order to provide more manoeuverability. This helps when riding backwards and landing or taking off tricks backwards. Freestyle skis are usually ridden in the park or the pipe Freeride Skis are used in powder. Compared to freestyle and normal skis, these are usually longer and wider. Freeride skis are also called “Fat Skis” as they can be around 9cm wide providing the needed float in powder.
