What is the difference between fines and court costs?
Court costs are the amount of money it takes to process your case in the system. They must be paid by each case and cannot be waived. Only a dismissal or acquittal results in no court costs. A fine is what the court gives your to change your driving behavior it can be from $0 to $1500.00 per ticket. A fine is given in addition to court costs.
