What is the difference between Fine Art and Decorative Art?
A difference exists between Fine Art and the Decorative Arts in professional nomenclature. Only items that meet the professionally recognized definition of Fine Art can be listed in the Fine Art Lane. On Ruby Lane Fine or High art (or just art), includes painting, drawing, original artist produced prints in signed, limited editions, photography, and sculpture, as indicated by the guidelines for the Fine Arts Lane. Ceramics also are allowed, but this inclusion is not a reference to any item with a body of a ceramic substance, but to artistic pieces wholly created by a singular artist in a ceramic medium.
