What is the difference between FiderisTM smaller gas units and the larger “pneumatically controlled” gas units?

There are three significant differences between these two classes of systems: • The larger system uses pneumatically controlled valves rather than direct lift solenoid valves on the reactant gases. This provides a longer life system since these valves are rated at over 5 million cycles! • The larger systems have their control unit in a separate cabinet which may be installed some distance from the gas handling portion of the hardware. This allows more freedom in the placement of the operators position with respect to the fuel cell, e.g., in a control room. • The larger systems have purge systems for both the fuel and oxidant while the smaller units and the test kits only have a purge on the fuel.
