What is the difference between FICO® credit scores and the credit scores sold by Experian® and TransUnion™?

A. Experian and TransUnion created their own credit scores they sell to consumers. In some cases these scores even appear on consumer credit reports. Not one major lender uses these credit scores to make a lending decision. So it is useless to you and simply a way for Experian and TransUnion to increase their revenue. However, Equifax® does it right. They sell only their FICO credit score to consumers.
