What is the difference between faith and religion?
You can have faith without religion, but you cannot have religion without faith. For example you can put faith in your children to make the right choices in life. In this example faith is hope or a belief that things will workout right. Religion would not survive without faith as it would just be a set of rules to follow. Faith gives this set of rules meaning or validity allowing people to believe that what they are following is greater than themselves.
